Georges Lemaître Centre for Earth and Climate Research - TECLIM


The researches conducted at the Georges Lemaître Centre for Earth and Climate Research (TECLIM) aim at understanding the functioning of the Earth system, with focus on its climate component, and the interactions between human activities and their natural environment.
VantagePro These researches mainly concern (1) past environmental and climatic changes, (2) the current state of the Earth and solar systems, (3) human-environment interactions, and (4) modelling tools. Our centre includes scientists from the Earth and Life Institute (ELI) of UCL , the Institute of Mechanics, Materials and Civil Engineering (iMMC) of UCL, the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BISA) and the Royal Observatory of Belgium (ROB).

Steve Schneider, climatologue mondialement réputé et professeur à l'Université de Stanford (US), est décédé ce lundi 19 juillet à l'âge de 65 ans. l'UCL lui avait décerné le titre de docteur honoris causa en 2007.
